As a viewer of this web site you may think “what a terrible self indulgent web site”, You would be wrong, this web site is a gift from me. I met Gene Valentine shortly after I started dating his sister. Before I was to meet her brother, my girl friend tried with great difficulty to “try to describe Gene to me”, I have come to understand that Gene can not be “described” but “experienced”.

I’m happy to say that we became brothers-in-law in 2001

I know, I know, what does this all have to do with the web site. Well the idea for the web site was borne out of sittin’ around and sharing Gene’s “ventures and adventures”, and looking at old pictures. So I decided to create this web site and present it to Gene as a Christmas present a couple years ago.  Happily the gift was well received.

In summary, the best way I can describe life with Gene is to quote a line from a 70's tune. “What a long, strange trip it's been” (Truckin' on the America Beauty Album by The Grateful Dead 1970).
